Try this fresh fruit custard recipe for a perfect summer treat! Made with creamy vanilla custard and fresh fruits, it's indulgent, impressive and easy to make.
3 1/4cupsMilkseparated into 3 cups and 1/4 cup to mix
½cupSugaradjust the sweetness to your preference
3tablespoonsCustard powderVanilla flavor
2cupsMixed fruitfresh or canned (see notes)
Sliced almonds and pistachios for garnish
Instructions
In a pot over low to medium heat, add 3 cups of milk and sugar.
Add the custard powder and 1/4 cup of room-temperature milk to a separate bowl, and mix well.
Once the milk is boiled, lower the heat and pour the custard powder and milk mix slowly, constantly mixing.
Once fully dissolved, turn off the heat and let it come to room temperature. Refrigerate to chill.
In a bowl, add chopped/diced fruit and the cooled custard and lightly mix.
Garnish with sliced pistachios and sliced almonds.
Notes
We prefer using canned fruit for this recipe because it doesn't release as much water. If using fresh fruit, we recommend mixing the fruit and custard right before serving.
