Masala Puri

Delicious and fluffy masala puri is a spicy twist to the popular deep-fried puri. Serve it hot and fresh with a cup of tea and your favorite chutneys!

You will need:  – Atta/wheat flour/all purpose flour - A few spices – Lemon juice – Sugar – lukewarm water – Oil

Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix in the lemon juice.

Slowly add some lukewarm water until a dough forms.

Cover the dough with a dish towel and rest for at least 20 minutes

Divide the dough into and shape into balls. 

Roll each ball into a flat puri, one at a time 

Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Once hot, add a puri and immerse it to fry 

Once golden brown, remove and strain extra oil using a slotted spoon

Enjoy fresh with raita/pickle and hot chai!
