SOAK THE GRAINS & LENTILS

Cook the grains and lentils until tender

Transfer to a large blender, or use an immersion blender to blend until the lentils and grains are no longer whole.

MEAT MIXTURE

In a separate large pot, add the oil, sliced onions. Cook on medium heat until lightly golden in color.

Add in the meat, along with ginger garlic paste and mix well.

When the meat is no longer pink on the outside, add the dry spices and mix.

Add 2-3 cups of water and cook on medium heat, until the meat is tender. You can also use a pressure cooker or an Instant Pot.

Shred the beef

Add the shredded meat to the grain and lentil mixture.

Mix the meat with the grain mixture, and use a wooden spoon or masher.

Transfer to a large serving bowl and garnish with fried onions, ginger, cilantro, and green chilli.
