Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This spicy tuna fish is a perfect side dish for when you’re short on time, but still want something tasty!

Today’s recipe is a super simple side dish.

Like so simple, that it comes together in less than 10 minutes, and there is zero prep work involved.

If you’re looking for a quick way to amp up your weeknight meals, this tuna fish side dish is exactly what you’re looking for!

Cooking tips

There is not a whole of cooking with this recipe, and it is perfect for beginners.

Make sure to buy the canned tuna that comes packed in oil. Or add a couple of tablespoons of neutral oil if it is packed in water.

  1. Start by adding the oil to the pan on low heat
  2. Next, add the tomato paste and red chilli powder (to taste) and cook for a couple of minutes.
  3. Add the canned tuna fish, and mix until it’s heated throughout.

Ideas to serve

This spicy tuna fish side dish is perfect on the side dish with some classic Pakistani comfort food. Here are some of our favourites:

  • Kadhi: Tangy Yogurt (Dahi) & Besan Curry
  • Dal Chawal: Simple Lentil Curry & Basmati Rice
  • Chapati Roti Recipe
  • Masala Papad
  • Kachumber Salad: Easy Side Salad

It also makes a great protein base for a grain bowl, or in a sandwich as a twist to a regular tuna salad!
