This raw mango salad or keri kachumber is a twist on a classic simple salad made with tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers served with classic rice dishes. Some of our favorites are:

Ingredients
This raw mango salad has the perfect tangy, crunchy salad and perfectly pairs your favorite rice dishes!
- Keri / Raw Mangoes / Green Mangoes – These are generally found in Pakistani or Indian stores in season, typically at the start of summer, around April and May.
- Onions and tomatoes – the spice and sweetness from the tomatoes and onions perfectly complement the tanginess of the raw mangoes.
- Chaat Masala – Chaat masala is a special spice blend used in Chaat (appetizer) and side dishes, available at most Asian stores. You can make your own blend as well!
- Black Pepper and Salt – these round out the flavors in this simple side salad.
Tips for Raw Mango Salad
- Cut all the vegetables (green mango, tomato, and onion) into similar-sized pieces.
- Raw mangoes vary in taste and tanginess. Adjust the amount of salt, pepper, and chaat masala to your preference.
- Red Chili and cumin powder would also taste great with this salad.
How to store Keri Kachumber?
This simple salad is best served fresh. You can store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for 1-2 days.

Raw Mango Salad – Keri Kachumber
Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 small tomato
- 1 small Raw mango
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt as per taste
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
Instructions
- Dice the onion, tomato and raw mango (keri) into equal bite-sized pieces. Toss with salt, black pepper, and chaat masala until combined.
- Serve as a side to your favorite dishes.
