Fruit Chaat is a beloved South Asian fruit salad. Your favorite fruits come alive with a zesty, spicy-tangy seasoning blend, creating a deliciously satisfying snack.
If you’re dreaming of summer, and love all things fruit, you are going to love this recipe!
This here is more of a guideline than a real recipe. But this fruit chaat is a staple in so many Pakistani households.
Fruit Chaat is a Pakistani fruit salad. It is often served as an afternoon snack, or along with other chaat recipes. It is also perfect for summer parties or BBQs!
It is a great way to eat up all the fresh fruit. Make a big batch, leave it out and we guarantee it to be gone very soon!
What makes this a real Pakistani twist is chaat masala, a spicy, tangy seasoning. When you add chaat masala to fruit, it makes for a perfectly balanced, sweet-tangy bite of fruit!
Why we love Fruit Chaat
- Not a real recipe-recipe: It is so easy to make, and you can get it together in less than 5 minutes if you are strategic about the fruits you use (more tips on that below).
- Always perfectly seasoned: The combination of the sweetness of fruits with the chaat masala makes each bite of fruit chaat perfectly balanced
- Customizable: you can use any fruits that are in season that you love in this recipe. If all you have is apples and oranges, it tastes great with just those too!
Fruit Chaat Masala / Seasoning
The seasoning blend for this fruit chaat is a traditional chaat masala blend. We love having a chaat masala blend in our pantry, making it easy to make many different snacks and appetizers.
You can make your own chaat masala at home, or it can be found at many Inidan/Pakistani stores or even on Amazon.
Chaat Masala is a potent seasoning and a little goes a long way!
If you are not able to access ready-made chaat masala, you can make your own seasoning blend.
